Our Purpose.

The Neighborhood Marathon is more than just a race—it’s a movement dedicated to health, wellness, and community empowerment in underrepresented neighborhoods. This two-day walk, run, and bike event will raise funds for four nonprofit organizations, fund three community grants, and increase awareness for the African American Association for the Cultural Gardens (AAACG).

With a goal of 500+ participants, the event will unite local businesses, leaders, and residents in a celebration of fitness, unity, and cultural heritage. Sponsoring this event provides brands with a unique opportunity to engage with diverse audiences, strengthen community relationships, and showcase their commitment to social impact.

A Journey of Preparation & Community Building

The Neighborhood Garden Party is the official final fundraiser before The Neighborhood Marathon, bringing together the community for an evening of food, fun, and fundraising. This event is more than just a gathering—it’s a powerful moment where neighbors, businesses, and supporters unite to uplift the community and contribute to the success of the marathon’s mission.

The Neighborhood Marathon isn’t just about running—it’s about building a healthier, stronger, and more united community. This annual event welcomes all fitness levels, whether you’re walking with friends, running for a personal best, or biking through Cleveland’s scenic routes.

Preparing for The Neighborhood Marathon starts months before race day. The Community Training & Engagement Program is designed to provide structured training, wellness activities, and community connection leading up to the event.
